That brings a good question of how much diplomatically engaged can you be with you vassals?

Oriental Empires Discussion / Re: Spreading the word

Hey, I just stumbled across this game by pure chance on the steam discussion page for Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence where a forum member mentioned this as one of their most anticipated games at the moment. I have to say I'm really shocked I haven't seen anything about this before now! I thought I was pretty up to date with historical strategy games :P
I was wondering if you have any plans in place for spreading the word and gaining more attention for OE? I know quite a few people who would definitely find it interesting so I'll of course do my part to spread the word to them. Is there any other way us fans (even newest of the new fans such as myself) can help out more in this regard?

Eagerly awaiting the release!

Lol was that me? :)) NA is really well made as well btw.

TW is a winning formula, they'd be stupid to change it.
It is and i have them all. Still, Oriental Empires is a very innovative approach and i won't regret the fact that there won't be any loading times while waiting for the battles to launch.

You are indeed right, but as someone who have been playing TW since Rome, I have been disapointed by the latter titles, specifically Rome 2.. as in my humble opinion, after a lot of resources have been put to that game, only few improvement proved successful, while other streamlined features killed a lot of immersion, also the political and diplomatic system is more like a decoration rather than a deciding factor in gameplay, and isn't getting any attention.. this proves only that CA are not really holding onto the formula which made Rome, Medieval 2 a legend of games.. and they are more like streamlining their newer games while improving the graphics. personally my favourite TW game is Shogun 2, That is a masterpiece, I also really like how Koei's Nobunaga Ambition Sphere of influence seem to have much depth in it's gameplay though haven't played it yet as it is coming out in few days.

Now back to what brought us all here :) I would really love to know how diplomacy and politics works in Oriental Empires (how deep and effective it is), is it an important part of the gameplay? and as someone mentioned before me, will there be coalision? betrayals? how limited the dealing is with other tribes?

Hello everyone! I have just joined the forum as soon as I knew about the website from the TW Reddit :) I have been following this game since it's announcement and I am very excited about the prospects it holds and very much looking forward for the early access. I am a big fun of strategy and historical games and this entry looks promising on filling those fronts and covering a very intresting era.. I will finish by wishing you (Neutron) and all the developing team all the best in making this game a masterpiece and taking the strategy genre into the next level, and all your future projects and also thank you for communication with the forum members and providing information to them!
