economy - commerce
« on: September 05, 2015, 05:56:45 AM »
could you please give us some more information about the economy and commerce\trade? How many trade goods are available? Are the available everywhere on the map? Is trade detailed like in the coming Grand Ages Medieval or more abstract? Do we have traders on the map and can they be attacked? Can we allocate citizens to different tasks in a city (mine, etc)? Thanks.

Hi Anguille

Commerce isn't really a main theme of the game, so the system is quite streamlined. It works quite like Armada 2526, you build a market in a settlement that lets you export (ie people come to your market to buy stuff) to nearby settlements. The trade routes are set up automatically, but are shown on the map, and can be blocked by enemy armies. Ports work like markets, but let you trade along rivers and across the sea. Caravanseries let you re-export items you import, so rare items can be exported further.

Some items, such as jade and horses are found as resources on the map. Others such as silk or ceramics are created by buildings you construct in a city.
