Early Access delayed til at least November
« on: August 14, 2015, 07:23:19 PM »
Iceberg Games mentioned it on Twitter.

Ah well.  I don't want the game rushed out too soon, and it's not like I don't have other games to play in the meantime.  ;)

Iceberg are a bit worried about Steam giving refunds on games in EA, so the quality bar for an EA launch has gone up a bit.

Makes sense. Especially as you're buying an Alpha or a Beta and not a finished product.

Agreed. Too many games today are rushed for deadlines and result in a sub-par experience, with bugs, missing and broken features. And most aren't even supposed to be in Early Access.

It's very sensible and responsible to delay release, and I'm more than happy to wait for a better Early Access.
Plus, I've bought Armada 2526: Gold Edition so I'll be enjoying that for a while   ;D

I just found out about this game today. It will be an insta-buy for me when it hits Steam. Steam needs more decent historical strategy games!

To be honest i hope it is even post phoned even more. The more time, the better. Id rather have a good game at launch late than a bad game early...

This presumes that all that stands between us and a perfect game is an infinite amount of time.  Such is not the case.

While it's fine not to rush development, you also want to get your game done because there's not an infinite amount of funding behind anything.

I'm just happy they're going through early access so those interested in the game can participate in testing it in order to refine it.  :)

R2 would be a good example where more time did indeed help after launch, however in my opinion much of what is still wrong with R2 will never be fixed because time wasn't the core issue, it was more a series of poor game game design decisions.

Is November still a possible EA launch date? Just curious. Looking forward to this title.

Same here. I'm a bit worried to notice how quiet the devteam has been since september since the game is supposed to hit early access in 40 days at most. Not asking for too much details but you know, just a short update once in a while, even if it's to anounce further delay, would be nice.

If I'm quiet, it's because I'm working hard :). Current activity includes adding lots of sound effects, and working on horse archers. Will try to post another pic this week.

As for release dates, Iceberg will decide when they're happy with it. We're contractually prohibited from discussing them.

Thx for reply, I wasn't referring to you especially :), nor trying to rush anything. Its just that I feel there's not enough publicity outside this forum for a game with such potential. I'm sure you're all doing your best though, so good luck with it.

Thanks also. Just eager for news. I agree with Mathias this game could be a big hit.
